Day Twenty – Channelling the Muse

Last night’s Editors’ Lounge was great! I really love listening to other editors share insights into their thought process. The theme of the evening was “Channelling the Muse.” The panelists were asked to speak about what inspired them to become editors and what inspires them to edit now. There were quite a few really great movies mentioned and it got me thinking about the films I love and find influential and inspiring.

When I have more time, I will put together a list of films I love and a list of films I need to see and post them here. It is often said that one of the best ways to learn about how to edit is to watch a lot of films. This idea was definitely expressed last night! I’ll get on those lists as soon as I can, but I have some other matters that need attending to right now.

Oh yeah… after I got home last night I watched Say Anything. I’m not sure I’d call it a great movie, but I do enjoy it and there are some great moments in it. Now I’m going to go listen to some Peter Gabriel.
